What Alternatives Exist To Google?
Today, the majority of searches on the Internet are done through Google. The market share of Google is more than 80% in a number of countries. But who are its biggest competitions in the present? Which other search engines are there for finding information online? We will discuss the advantages and shortcomings of these search engines. See this link for an example.

Microsoft's Bing Search Engine
Microsoft's Bing search tool is probably the most popular alternative to Google. The two search engines appear similar from a visual perspective. Each search engine result provides information about the result, such as its description and title and the hyperlink. Furthermore, some search results include a tab in the right navigation pane with information of interest. Bing also offers vertical search engines for specific kinds of content, such as images, videos and news. The search engines can be found on the main search results page and on other pages. Google has been criticised for showing YouTube videos prominently in video searches, but this is not an issue for Bing. Bing like Google, analyzes user behavior by persisting information regarding the search query and clicks on the results. This lets Bing directly to show personalised advertisements within the results of its searches. Bing is also able to provide personalised advertisements within the Windows operating system.

Duckduckgo Search Engine
DuckDuckGo is a possible alternative to Google. It executes your search whenever you launch with a new search. DuckDuckGo will then pull the results from Bing, and present the results within your browser. When you search this engine, you won't come in directly with Bing. Bing is not able to access any personal information, such as your location or IP address. DuckDuckDuckGo also displays ads between results of searches. It is however unable to serve personalized advertisements since the US search engine does not gather any information about users. It only displays ads related to the word or phrase that you type in when you search for "holidays". Because it's already decided to not utilize the data, it will not have any other information. Bing and Google are at our view very similar. Whether you like one over the other is up to individual preferences. DuckDuckGo is more private than the other alternatives.
